Final Assembly Inspector

POSITION SUMMARY:
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to inspecting guitars in Final Assembly.  Inspects guitar after the building process and adjusting or buffing processes.  Guitars are to be inspected for both finishing and electronic requirements.  Work is based upon a daily production quantity and candidate will be expected to work at a fast pace.
 
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
·         High school diploma or equivalent
·         Prior experience in production process environment or retail environment w/inspection/repair experience is preferred. 
·         In addition, 2 to 4 years relevant guitar playing experience required, but must have work experience also.
·         Prior experience inspecting finishing of a wood product is a plus.
·         Strong attention to detail skills
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
 
To perform the job successfully, an individual must be able to execute each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and ability required.
·         Knowledge of the guitar and its mechanical functions including bridge pickups, pick up selector, volume and tone knobs, tuners and other hardware. 
·         Must be able to operate power tools for installation of hardware.
·         Proven repair skills – bridge pickups and other hardware including stringing.
·         Attention to Detail
·         Ability to troubleshoot electronics
·         Wood Finishing background
 
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Incumbent must be able to stand on feet for 8 – 10 hours per day. Must be able to lift a minimum of 25 lbs. Position requires utilization of hand tools in a repetitive motion. The position exists in a fast paced environment. Work is conducted in a loud and dusty environment.
